In this article, the authors have reviewed 43 cross-sector firms’ open innovation implementation approache to find how companies implement open innovation. Later based on the evidence from their studies, they found four approaches for the implementation of open innovation. Then start from these four approaches, they have figured out some probably affections on the open innovation adoption path. They are varying from companies’ innovation requirements, the timing of the adoption to the organizational culture.

Schoroll has investigated how and how much open innovation is used around Europe, of which the studies were quite different from previous, they have collected data from 180 European companies. During their research, they came up with three hypotheses, then, tried to test them with specific data. In this article, the authors show us with a lot evidence for the extent of open innovation implementation across Europe, and confirmed the role of open innovation in an internal R&D work.

In this artical, the authors have surveyed two companies in high-tech industries and their 38 suppliers. The whole paper is based on a crisis background, they want to find a further relationship when the customers facing crisis. Withe their research work, they found out that in a period of profound crisis the customer passes on its own difficulties to the suppliers. In the phases of different economic environment, relationship between customers and suppliers would be vary. At the end, the authors try to give advice for suppliers, which will help them avoid crisis.

This paper is based on a longitudinal study of Volvo Cars conducted as a long-term collaborative research project. this article contributes to develop organizational capability theory. As the author was involved in a Vision 2020 project, he has introduced this peoject into the artical, finding some problems on organizational practice in developing organizations and providing some implications for theory. In the conclusion part, they highlight the need to work in partnership with changes to activities and practices and address the importance of an insightful strategic top management.
